The island’s Director of Public Prosecutions has expressed reservations about the manner in which public discussion on the Lambirds Academy affair is being conducted.

Mrs Victoria Charles Clarke voiced her concern on Wednesday during a Radio St Lucia’s 90 minute program with Shelton Daniel.

She has singled out the actions of defence attorney for the accused Lambirds Administrators, Marcus Foster, as having fuelled public debate on the matter and is concerned that it could prejudice the case.

Mrs Charles Clarke further highlighted that to discuss sensitive matters in a case which is currently before the courts is a breach of the island’s constitution and any such actions can influence the outcome of the case.

She has advised that more caution should be exercised when discussing the matter

The administrators of the Lambirds Academy face up to 60 charges of money laundering, human trafficking among other offences
