Parents of students who will be entering secondary school for the first time at the start of the new academic year have been given a particular government guarantee.

It comes from the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Jadia Jn Pierre Emmanuel following what she says has been several concerns expressed about the bursary for first form students.

She explained that the government assistance program is in place and that further information on the $500.00 disbursements will be disseminated through the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile a notice from the Ministry of education informs Parents and guardians of all students, who wrote the 2015 Common Entrance Examinations and will be proceeding to a secondary school, that registration forms are now available for the Education Access Fund for 2015.

The forms for the One Time $500 Bursary Assistance can be collected at the respective District Offices from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily.  

Parents are required to bring along a valid form of picture identification and their child’s Common Entrance result slip or proof of registration at the school that their child has been assigned to.

The deadline for the return of all registration forms is Thursday 16 July, 2015.
