The President of the Police Welfare Association has called out Police Commissioner to address his men on his extended absence from the force.

The call comes from Mr Cameron Laure stressed that the police commissioner whose vacation leave has twice been extended must explain why such action has been taken against him.

Meanwhile an apparent row between the president of the Police Welfare Association and the acting police commissioner appears to be playing itself out in public.

A press conference which was called last week by Mr Errol Alexander sought to get his take on claims made by Mr Laure regarding the stewardship of the man occupying the top cop position.

Mr Laure says the Welfare Association will respond to the claims made by the acting police commissioner in due course
