The minibus driver who was involved in an accident on the Bexon Highway that claimed the life on one passenger has been speaking out about the ordeal that has left his colleagues travelling the route traumatized.

Mr Michael Doussa who has been plying the route for almost 30 years and says he has never been involved in a crash, because he has always been a cautious driver.

He claims that two factors played a major role in causing the fatal accident. The 64 year old bus driver blames the location of a scrap metal business near the highway as well as speeding on the part of the truck driver for the crash.

Mr Doussa stressed that speeding and driver indiscretion are the main cause for accidents on the stretch of road that is fast gaining an unimpressive reputation.

Four passengers sustained injuries in Monday’s fatal accident. According to Mr Doussa, they will be contacted to provide personal information for insurance purposes.
