There has been reaction to news that disciplinary action is being taken against a public servant following a highly publicized entry into active politics

Ms Jeana Corneille who is believed to have breached the public service staff orders, following her announcement of intentions to participate in active politics has confirmed that disciplinary action is being taken against her.

Speaking on the issue today, retired government auditor Kingsley St Hill says, while it appeared the PSC was willing to overlook the blunder by the young public servant, her recent press statement displayed open defiance.

This he believes prompted the PSC to take action.

Mr St Hill has also supported moves by the Public Service Commission to allow due process to take its course in the matter.

Reports suggest that Ms Corneille is seeking legal advice on how to proceed with the matter.
