Investigations into the alleged gang rape of a mentally challenged teenager in Bruceville Vieux Fort have hit a major snag.

That's according to Police Press Relations Officer Zachary Hippolyte who informed that so far there has been little evidence to support the claim.

He adds that investigators face another major hurdle as official reports from a clinical psychologist who has conducted an evaluation on the victim suggest that she may not have the competency to identify her alleged attackers.

Mr Hippolyte stressed that despite the hurdles that investigators face with the case, the probe is continuing.
