The parent of a child who is suffering from a rare skin condition which doctors say is not contagious, has reacted to comments made by the Chief Education Officer, regarding her complaint about the treatment meted out to her son.

Ms Louina Joseph who has taken her case to the airwaves, maintains that her child is being mistreated and discriminated against by teachers and students at the Patience Combined School which he attends.

She claims that statements made by Mr Marcus Edward regarding her handling of the situation are completely false and that she has grown increasingly frustrated about the scant attention paid to the plight of her son.

Ms Joseph adds that the restrictions placed on her are unfair to her and her seven year old son

Ms Joseph says she faces strong opposition by the Ministry of Education regarding a transfer request for her son.
