In less than one week, the Police Welfare Association intends to make a detailed public statement regarding several serious issues plaguing the Royal St Lucia Police Force.

The disclosure was made by the organization’s president Cameron Laure who stressed that the Impacs report is at the heart of the situation that appears to have brought the force to its knees.

Other issues which have hit the force hard include the retirement of Police Commissioner and the circumstances surrounding his departure from the head of the RSLPF.

Mr Laure adds that recent statements made by the President of the Senate and Talk show host Claudius Francis are also among the topics that will come up when the Welfare Association calls its press conference in the coming days.

The executive of the Welfare Association is expected to meet on Thursday to decide and finalize the way forward ahead of the news conference
