The Nation Consumers Association has reacted to news that Flow will be increasing broadband rates in St Lucia.

The subtle move by the Company to inform local consumers via text message was made in October, indicating that the new rates would take effect on November 1st.

The company which took a similar approach in Grenada was met with stiff opposition and protests. Which resulted in a withdrawal of the proposal.

The NCA in St Lucia has also taken an opposition position to the rate increase.

Trevor Albert is the President of the NCA.

The rates are expected to take effect here on Sunday
