With the launch of activities scheduled to take place here for the Atlantic Rally For Cruisers, the Marine Consultant in the Ministry of Tourism is reiterating calls for a greater infusion of the local culture.

Mr Cuthbert Didier also believes that the event should not only be a staple in the north of the island, but must extend to other communities here.

The event was launched last week by the St Lucia Tourist Board, which will be coordinating the activities that are expected to begin this month.

Mr Didier is however concerned about visitor harassment particularly when it comes to the yachting sector.

Sailors in the ARC are expected to be arriving at the Rodney Bay Marina where the regatta ends, in early December
