A new project has been launched by eth Water and Sewerage Company that is expected to improve one of the island’s main water distribution plants.

It comes fine years after the passage of hurricane Tomas in 2010 and the Christmas Eve trough in 2013 when the John Compton Dam was severely damaged.

The rehabilitation project which the company launched on Monday in collaboration with The St.Lucia Government and The Caribbean Development Bank is expected to repair damages on the dam.

The project also includes a redevelopment project for the Vieux Fort water supply.

Public Relations officer for WASCO D’Anthony Charles pointed to the priority areas for reconstruction. He also described what is included in the Vieux Fort Redevelopment Project.

The launch will take place November 24 to 26 from 9am to 5pm in different locations throughout the three days.
