The Director on the board of the Citizenship by Investment Program has put to rest speculation as to whether or not he will contest the next general elections here.

Dr Ernest Hilaire, a former British High Commissioner addressed the issue during an interview on Radio St Lucia this week where he revealed that he has always had political aspirations.

Dr Hilaire noted that he has been engaged in a lifetime of grooming exercises in preparation for the opportunity.

Dr Hilaire says he is now ready to embrace political life.

General Elections are constitutionally due here for the latest by the first quarter of 2017.
