As police investigations continue into the first recorded homicide for 2016, the results of a post mortem conducted on the body of the 45 year old man have been revealed.

The autopsy was conducted on, Monday, January 4, 2016 on the body of Joseph Herman of Capitol Hill, Castries.

It revealed that Herman died as a result of respiratory failure and hemorrhagic shock, secondary to multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Investigations are continuing into this matter.

Meanwhile the autopsy results into the latest road fatality have also been released.

On, Tuesday, January 5, 2016 a Post Mortem was conducted on the body of  48 year old, Renee Joseph of Jacmel Anse-La-Raye.

Joseph had been struck by a bicycle which a 17 year old was riding at the time

The examination revealed that Joseph died as a result of traumatic head injury.

Investigations continue into this matter.
