One of the island’s most seasoned entertainers is expected to be honored by the St Lucian diaspora in the United States.

It will take the form of a tribute concert which Lady Leen will headline on February 27th hosted by the St Lucia House Foundation.

Speaking on the latest recognition lady Leen could only describe it as a great feeling.

Lady Leen who began her calypso career in 1990 and hails from Castries has received numerous awards throughout the region for her tireless contribution to Calypso.

She is on record in Saint Lucia as being the longest active female Calypsonian is a recipient of one of the highest awards in Saint Lucia, the Les Piton Gold Medal for her meritorious contribution to Calypso and the Arts.”

The Annual Gala is the main activity for Saint Lucians in New York during the celebration of Saint Lucia’s Independence Anniversary.
