The National Consumers Association is moving ahead with plans for the global observance on International Consumer Rights Day on Tuesday next week.

A number of activities have been planned in the run up to the event. They include a campaign coordinated by the NCA to get antibiotics off the menu.

The organization has since written to fast food outlets here, requesting that they remove such offerings on their offerings to the public because of the harmful effects on the human body when consumed.

But so far according to NCA president the response has not met expectation.

Meanwhile other activities planned for the global consumer rights observance include a church service and a walk on Sunday.

The walk is expected to start from the Caribbean Cinemas car park
