The brazen robberies throughout the city of Castries continue as a group of young men terrorized and robbed several people over the weekend.

According to eyewitnesses a group of about 15 to 20 young men attacked and stripped random people of their property on Friday evening between 11 and 12 o’clock. The robberies took place near the taxi stand on Jeremie Street. Onlookers said the group was loud and rowdy and appeared to be average party goers until the assaults began.

One of the witnesses who asked to remain anonymous says the young men appeared to be between the ages of 16 to 25. He says a seemingly innocent man was  attacked by the young robbers.

The eyewitness says the police were present but were unaware of what was happening. Other witnesses who did not want to be identified each gave their account of what happened.

The group believes the young men may have been from the infamous Wilsons Yard area
