Officials from the Citizenship by Investment Unit have made a major announcement that will bring a major hotel project to St Lucia

The unit has approved its first real estate investment project under the Citizenship by Investment Programme by Boka Estates Limited, which plans to transform the Belvedere Plantation site in Canaries into a five star luxury hotel.

CEO of Boka Estates Limited and President of the British Caribbean Chamber of Commerce John Kennedy says the Belvedere plantation’s historic significance makes it a great fit for a real estate project.

Acting chairman Deale Lee for the CIP board says the organization was able to approve its first project within just 4 months from the start of the program.

The programme was announced in January.
