The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States in collaboration with German company GIZ is using environmentally friendly programs to help organizations increase their savings.

The OECS launched (BEEP) or Building Energy Efficiency Project in August 2015 which was used improve energy consumption throughout various organizations. Energy conservation subsequently assists companies in saving money. The commission hosted a conference on Monday morning at Sandals La Toc to inform its members of the programme's success.

Denise Joseph ICT officer for the Ministry of Sustainable Development Energy Science and Technology spoke about one of the programmes successful initiatives.

Ken Aldonza Sustainable Energy Project Officer for REETA or (Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance) says this programme will encourage workers to be consistently conscious of energy conservation methods.

Members of the OECS commission are currently celebrating the organizations 35th anniversary.
