Moves are afoot to find a replacement to head the National Taxi Association following the resignation of Lucien Joseph.

Joseph who has served at the helm of the organization for over a decade resigned last month citing that it came in order to make way for new and fresh faces to make an impact on the sector.

NTU secretary Matthew Hutchenson disclosed that while the organization can move to select a replacement candidate to serve as president in the short term, a decision has been taken to apply a more long term approach.

Hutchenson believes that the process of finding suitable candidates with strong leadership qualities should not be difficult for the delegates.

The National Taxi Union is made up of eight affiliates representing a membership of about eight hundred taxi operators.
