The new retail prices for fuel have been released indicating an increase in cost at the local pump. According to a communiqué from the Prime Minister’s attaché the changes are in keeping with the changes in international oil prices.

The retail prices of all petroleum products have been changed with the exception of Kerosene. These changes reflect developments in international oil prices over the past five weeks, May 30th – July 3rd, 2016.

Under the three-week market pass-through system, the reference period  is three weeks. However, as there was a 2-week delay in implementing the previous price change due to the elections, the reference period was extended by an additional two weeks to account for the delay.

Gasolene has increased from 11.11 to 11.23 per litre. Diesel has increased from 10.08 to 10.29 per litre. The 20, 22 and 100 pound LPG cylinders have increased from 25.41, 28.23 and 169.44 to 26.68, 29.63 and 182.16 respectively.

The next price adjustment is expected to be announced in three weeks.
