The promoter of the widely advertised Saving Souls gospel Concert Osron Irwen Dennis has been arrested.

The event was scheduled to have taken place on Saturday November 16th but Police in the region uncovered what is being described as a major scam following the apprehension of Denis and his business partner in Dominica.

Reports suggest that the two who are wanted in Grenada had been promoting the same show featuring the same artistes in both islands.

Police have arrested Trinidadian, Cornelius Thomas, better known as CJ Thomas, who has been in Dominica promoting a “Saving Souls” concert featuring international gospel artiste, Vashawn Mitchell.

Thomas is the subject of investigations by the police after he reportedly issued a check amounting to EC$35,205.00 to a local travel agent. The travel agent became suspicious and alerted the police and on investigations it was discovered that he only had EC14.00 on the account.Reports indicate that Thomas also issued another cheque in the amount of EC$48,000.00 to another travel agent who did the necessary due diligence and discovered that he only had EC$600 in the account.

Further investigations revealed that the Promoters of the successfully staged “Saving Souls” concert were robbed in excess of $100,000.00 as one of their own, “CJ Thomas” whose real name is Cornelius Thomas, allegedly raked in the ticket sales and fled the country in July this year.
