An Agreement has been reached between Staff at the Land Registry offices and the Government regarding the mold situation the continues to persist in the building

Reports indicate that the entire building has been affected by mold for some time but the problem was more acute at the Planning offices.

The St Lucia Civil Service Association which represents workers there has informed that a compromise has been reached between the workers and the government. Grievance Officer McStephen Aubertin says an assessment has also been made to determine a timeline for the works to be completed at the Land Registry offices.

The works are expected to be completed within two weeks. The workers have however agreed to stay on for this week, provided that they receive the necessary protective gear.

A press statement is expected to be issued in order to inform the public on the situation at the Land Registry department.
