There is no shortage of action both on and off the pitch as Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell resignation from the CARICOM  Sub-committee on Cricket.

The role is expected to be taken up by St Vincent’s Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves who has not minced words about the management style of the Dave Cameron led West Indies Cricket Board.

Among those commenting on the latest development is Cricket Commentator Joseph Reds Pireirra who says the move is not surprising given the fact that Dr Keith Mitchell has not been receiving the requisite support from colleague heads on the subcommittee.

Pireirra believes that Dr Ralph Gonsalves may be able to fare better as the head of the Caricom subcommittee on Cricket, for several reasons including his media savvy and his approach to garnering wide support.

The West Indies Cricket Board continues to remain unpopular in the region mainly due to the public’s impressions about of its recent developments including the sacking of St Lucian all rounder Daren Sammy and the firing of the team’s coach Phil Simmons.
