The leak apparently occurred on the floor housing the pharmacy and doctors' offices. The hospital’s cafeteria on the lower floor has also been affected.

But speaking to RCI news earlier today Chief Financial officer Reginald St Juste says the situation has been addressed. He says it was caused by a faulty clamp on one of the PVC pipes at the hospital, but all efforts have been made to remedy the  situation.

St Juste also clarified reports of an explosion at the healthcare facility almost a week ago. He says it was nothing more than an overheated autoclave in the operating theatre and that no one was injured.

The Chief Financial Officer says the situation has not affected operations at the Tapion hospital
