The family of a man who is suspected to have drowned on Sunday near Smugglers Cove have expressed mixed feelings after his body was fished out of the sea this morning.

Kieron Cornibert was one of two people who is believed to have been kayaking near the resort on Sunday before submerging in the water.

A relative of the deceased Keisha Cornibert told RCI news today that while the family is relieved that Kieron’s body has been found, they would have preferred a different outcome in Sunday’s incident.

The body of Curtis Prospere who was the other individual on the fishing expedition with Kieron Cornibert, when they encountered difficulty after venturing out into rough seas was found moments after the incident.

Police have however informed that the body found today has not been identified by a next of kin
