Police investigations are continuing into two shooting deaths in the last two days.

The first occurred on Thursday, January 26th, when officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department received a report of a shooting at Rosehill, Castries about 4:30 p.m.

Upon arrival on the scene, 34 year old Peter Desir, of Pavee was found in a pickup van with an apparent gunshot injury to the head. He was later pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.

A post mortem is scheduled for today. Desir’s death is recorded as the tenth homicide for 2017.

Meanwhile, Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a fifty two (52) year old resident of Sunbuilt.

Peter Satney was shot in the abdomen as he made his way to work early this morning.

Police received a report reference to a shooting at Sunbuilt, Castries, about 6:00 a.m.

He was conveyed to the Victoria Hospital, via ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead about 6:45a.m. A post mortem is scheduled for today.
Investigations are continuing into this matter. Satney’s death registered as the eleventh homicide for the year.
