A heated exchange that got personal between talk show host Christopher Hunte and media practitioner Dale Elliot is being used to build a case for self regulation.

Among individuals commenting on the episode which took place on Monday this week is Newspaper publisher and Talk Show host Rick Wayne who is sometimes known to be radical with his content.

Wayne says the situation interfere with efforts to promote press freedom and could give governments a good reason to crack down it.

Wayne has also commented on attempts by the MASL President Miguel Fevrier hold the individuals involved in the back and forth accountable for their outburst.

The newspaper publisher says the MASL could be overstepping its jurisdiction, when only one of the parties is associated with the organization.

Wayne says there are broadcasting and TV laws that guide the conduct of broadcasters. However he is unclear about whether it makes specific reference to privately owned companies
