A number of unanswered questions and unresolved concerns about the Pearl of the Caribbean development is the motivation behind the staging of a joint protest march in Vieux Fort this weekend.

The demonstration is a joint venture among the Vieux Fort Concerned Citizens Coalition for Change, I will Stand and the Concerns Citizens group.

Julius James who is one of the organizers of the march stressed that the members want the Prime Minister to allay the fears of residents and business owners in Vieux Fort about the development and its possible impact on them.

He says a number of government organized community and town hall meetings with residents have done little to address their concerns.

James insists that while the VFCCC is not opposed to development it is also concerned with the impact that such an undertaking will have on residents and the country be extension.

The march is scheduled for Sunday and will start from the Vieux Fort Square. Members of the public are invited to participate in the demonstration.
