Visions Entertainment, organizers of the Super League football tournament has teamed up with Monroe College to offer partial scholarship packages to deserving footballers and their children.

According to Mr Didus Fedee, the move is in keeping with a trend started two years ago when Visions Entertainment sought to make a more lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of sportsmen and women in St Lucia.

A total of fifteen scholarships and food baskets have already been distributed and Monroe College has agreed to provide four partial scholarships worth fifty six thousand dollars.

Fedee says Visions entertainment is excited about the new academic opportunity for young St Lucians.

Fedee explains that the eligibility requirements for the scholarships will include a socio economic assessment of the applicant’s family will be conducted. In addition, applicants will also have to application requirements for college entry.

The scholarships program will be open in August this year.
