The death of an infant from the Marchand community has sent shock waves throughout the island leaving many wondering who would want to kill a baby.

Among those denouncing the senseless killing is Women and Child rights activist Catherine Sealys who has described the incident as both shocking and tragic.

Sealy’s laments the loss of such a young life to violence and has used the opportunity to reiterate calls on local authorities to beef up the country’s crime management strategy, in order to apprehend those responsible for lawlessness.

In the meantime Sealys, who is also the Secretary of Raise Your Voice, has extended condolences to the family of the deceased child.

Investigations into the latest killing are ongoing.
