There have been renewed calls to address a myriad of problems that continue to plague the island’s Registry Departments.

Frustrations have reached an all time high particularly for one individual who called in to Monday’s Newsspin program this week.

She expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the backlog of applications for trademarks that have been sent to the department amid claims that government is dragging its feet on staffing the department adequately.

Equally aggravated about what she claims is government’s tardiness in effecting an additional revenue stream, the Newsspin caller says her calls to high level government officials appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Despite the placement of additional contracted employees from the NICE program, members of the public continue to register their dissatisfaction and frustration with the inadequacies of the registry offices.
