West Indies Cricket team will come up against Afganistan and Pakistan in a three match ODI series which set to open in St Lucia on Friday this week.

According to the Marketing and Communications Manager for the West Indies Cricket Board Carols Beckford, the players are already on island ahead of the games scheduled for the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

It comes on the heels of an electrifying performance by the West Indies against Pakistan in the T20 edition on the game. According to Beckford, the ODI series will present an opportunity for West Indies players to prepare for their match up against India as well as their upcoming tour of England.

In an attempt to make the ODI format of the game more appealing, a decision has been made to facilitate day/night matches and special offers are being made to patrons who buy their tickets early.

While it will take a team effort to win the series for the West Indies, officials believe that key players such as Roston Chase, Jason Holder and Azari Joseph will have a major impact on the game.
