Three men have been apprehended by police when they were caught in the ceiling of the First District Court administrative building today in a foiled robbery attempt.

According to the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Justice Department Sonia Monrose, she was informed of the break in early Tuesday morning.

Monrose indicated that nothing has been reported missing from the building so far but it is believed that the men gained entry through the security bars and manoeuvred they way into the premises.

The Ministry of Infrastructure has reacted promptly is assessing the damage to the building and making repairs. Meanwhile police are actively pursuing the case.

It is not clear whether the assailants concealed their identity before entering the building. Charges are expected to be laid shortly.
