The Executive Director at the Folk Research Centre boasts Journen Kweyol and the observance of Creole Heritage Month as the largest Cultural showpiece.

Hilary LaForce says the festival has grown by leaps and bounds and has now surpassed carnival.

His points to community involvement and the participation at the commercial and school level to support his viewpoint.

This comes following news from the Folk Research Centre about advanced preparations for the hosting of this year’s event.

The four host communities for Creole day celebrations were announced last week. They are Babonneau, La Resource, Marigot and Vieux Fort.
