An inmate of the Bordelais Correctional Facility who is believed to have started a prison riot several months ago has landed in hot water again.

This time, Junior Duncan is reported to have been involved in an altercation with another inmate Emmerson Donelly at the Maximum security unit.

According to Sergeant of Corrections Dean John the incident occurred on Saturday around 9:20 am. As a result Donnelly sustained stab wounds to the chest and lower abdominal area.

It is not yet clear what charged will be laid against the Duncan, but according to Sergeant John, it will be left to the investigating officers.

Meanwhile Sergeant John stressed that access to weapons by inmates continues to remain a major issue for prison officials.

John stressed that the management of the Bordelais Correctional facility will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure that inmates, prison officers and the public is safe.
