The Pine Hill Fun Walk which has been dubbed the largest participatory sporting exercise in St Lucia took off with record figures on Sunday.

Over five thousand five hundred people turned up for the annual event which began at the Sab playing field and ended at Pigeon Island with 1300 medals distributed to the first walkers to cross the finish line.

Speaking at the end of the event, Pine Hill Brand Manager Krystal Francois says two charitable organizations will benefit from the proceeds of the walk.

In addition to the medals and trophies distributed, a number of attractive prizes were raffled at the Pine Hill fun walk including trips and staycation packages.
