The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Energy has completed road works at Mongiraud on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th, 2017.

This comes following an alarming observation regarding the spillage of concrete on a number of inclines on the island’s road network. Therefore, the Department kindly reiterates to all parties involved in this unlawful act to cease from this practice, as it poses a hazard to vehicular traffic and pedestrians.

The Department of Infrastructure through the contractor C.O. Williams Construction(St Lucia) Ltd undertook the necessary road works to facilitate the removal of hardened concrete, and resurfacing of a section of the Mongiraud road. Hardened concrete along the Mongiraud Hill, officials say, created reduced width of carriageway and also caused an unsafe and uncomfortable drive.

The Department apologizes for any inconvenience which may have been caused during the execution of these works.
