A group of medical experts from Taiwan are expected to arrive in St Lucia this weekend to provide medical services, free of charge to the public.

The exercise is being facilitated by St Jude Hospital which shares a twinning arrangement with a Taiwanese medical facility.

Communications Officer at St Jude Hospital Shervon Alfred has described the program as highly sought after, and has advised members of the public to register early for an appointment.

Alfred notes that St Jude Hospital and the Taiwanese medical facility enjoy a longstanding relationship and have exchanged services for a number of years.

In fact he says a team of local medical professionals will also be returning to St Lucia from Taiwan this weekend following a one month training exercise.

On behalf of St Jude Hospital Alfred has expressed gratitude for the services of the Taiwanese medical expert to St Lucians ahead of their arrival here
