The Community of Monchy is set to come alive tomorrow when residents will be treated to several activities planned by the Community Development Committee.

Word of this comes from the organization’s President Zacchary Hippolyte who announced the opening of a Christmas Carol Singing Festival.

Special focus will be placed on the children of the community who will receive a number of special treats.

Mr Hippolyte who boasts that Monchy is the new Frontiere notes that the event will be different for most because of the fusion of St Lucian culture and Christmas.

The event which has received sponsorship from a number of individuals including the Parliamentary representative for Gros Islet, Emma Hippolyte, takes place on Sunday December 15th at the Monchy Square from 3pm

In more news a Christmas activity has been planned for the South of the island. The event organized by the Belle Vue Development Committee is expected to recognize some of the community‘s outstanding individuals.
