Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Gale Rigobert, has called on authorities to bestow the title of Ambassador of Culinary Arts on Nina Compton Millar following her latest achievement

In congratulating the St Lucian chef who advanced to the finals of the tough cooking competition on the Reality TV show Top Chef, Dr Rigobert says Nina’s
phenomenal performance and true representation of her island home, Saint Lucia, on show, deserves nothing short of national recognition.

Dr Rigobert adds that while Nina did not emerge as Bravo’s Top Chef, she did, however, win the hearts of millions, not only in the United States and the Caribbean, but around the world.

Nina, one of the talented daughters of the founder of the United Workers Party, Sir John Compton, has made Saint Lucia proud at a time when the island is getting ready to celebrate the legacy and achievements of her father at the upcoming 35th anniversary of Independence, as well as the 50th anniversary of the United Workers Party.

Dr Rigobert says, thanks to her accomplishments, Saint Lucia has received invaluable marketing and promotion for many years to come.
