Music and Art are set to take center stage at the 23rd edition of the St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival which was launched last night with much fanfare.

An all star cast of acclaimed musicians are poised to deliver the best rhythmic performances alongside artistic portrayals from accomplished artisans are among some of the offerings at this year’s event.

The stellar line-up includes, Maxwell, Tessanne Chin, Barrington Levy, DeeDee Bridgewater and P-Square.

Meanwhile several local performers have also been booked for the mega music festival.

Among them is Radio Caribbean announcer and multiple groovy monarch title winner, Teddyson John, who is no stranger to the Jazz main stage, has described the opportunity to share the stage with so many international music icons as a blessing. TJ also jokingly recalls his first taste of the main stage event when he volunteered to perform with Patty La Belle on 2002.

Teddyson John’s repertoire includes opening for acts like the late Luther van Dross and more recently R&B sensation Neo.
