Police charged 27 year old Nazim Jamal Henry of Barnard Hill, Castries for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Controlled Drug and Cultivation of a Controlled Drug.    Henry was arrested on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 on a Marijuana Plantation at Des Barras, Babonneau during a raid by the Police.

He appeared before the First District Court in Castries on Friday, March 7, 2014 where he pleaded guilty to all of the charges. Henry has been remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility until April 11, 2014 for sentencing.

On Sunday, March 9, 2014 about 4:15a.m., officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) executed a search warrant on the premises of Eron Collymore aka Ranks of San-De-Faye, Sarrot, quarter of Bexon.

 During the search, the officers recovered a magazine containing six (6) rounds of .32 ammunition.  Collymore was subsequently arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Ammunition.  

He appeared before the First District Court in Castries on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 and was granted bail in the sum of $2000.00 cash or suitable surety.

He is scheduled to reappear before the court on March 28, 2014.

Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, (CID) of the Southern Division, have launched an investigation into a robbery at St. Jude’s Hospital about 3 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

It is alleged that a masked individual armed with what appeared to be a shotgun, entered into one of the offices of the medical facility and stole an undisclosed sum of money.

No one was hurt during the robbery. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is appealing to anyone with information that can assist in the investigation of this robbery to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 456 3762 or the nearest police station.
