Today (April 23rd) the world celebrates World Book and Copyright Day under the theme – "History and Stories,” followed by the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day on Saturday 26th April under the theme; ‘Movies – A Global Passion’

ECCO in collaboration with the Central Library and the Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property Office with the support of UNESCO is helping mark the joint celebrations by hosting a week long exhibition at the Central Library highlighting the work of creativity.

General Manager at Ecco Steve Etienne notes that this year’s observance seeks to highlight the importance of copyright it focuses more pleasures of reading.

The general public and members of the creative community are invited to the Central Library on the evening of Thursday 24th April 2014 from 6.30 p.m. for a short lecture presentation entitled ‘Intellectual Property – It’s not just about the music” which will be presented by St. Lucian author, composer, playwright, musician, actor and ECCO Director; Gandolph St. Clair.
