A new executive has been voted in to manage the affairs of Media Workers in St Lucia, with Clinton Reynolds returning to the top position.

The election took place on Sunday during the organization’s Biennial General Meeting at the Monroe College campus.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Reynolds applauded the work of the outgoing executive and their attempts to empower media workers in St Lucia during their tenure.

More importantly, he says is its stellar leadership was able to stamp the MASL’s authority, and get due recognition, particularly from government and other organizations.

Mr Reynolds reiterated the need to get more media practitioners registered with the MASL, and to get the membership energized about their own interests. He advised that media workers need to take themselves seriously first, if they expect the same from others.

In addressing the new executive, he pointed out that the task at hand is far from glamorous, and that they must guard the rights of media workers jealously

Mr Reynolds says professional and personal development goals continue to remain a priority for the new executive
