After two days of revelling and competition in the 2014 Carnival, the results have been announced by the Carnival Planning and Management Committee. The announcement was made earlier today during a news conference at the CDF Office in Castries.

A total of nine bands participated in this year’s Carnival with Rituals capturing the top spot in of the categories, including Band of the year.  The Jouvert Band of the year title went to Back in time Incorporated, while the Ole mas title went to Cuthbert Modest, more popularly known as twa ti nae.

The Road March title went to J Mouse with his song hurt it and a number of people were named as top contenders in the individual of the year category.

The announcement brings the curtains down on the festival for 2014, and according to organizers, it signals the start of preparations for next year’s event.
