A St. Lucian academic who is ranked among the top scientists in the world is back home to offer assistance in the healthcare sector.

Dr David Williams who works as a co-director of a voluntary organization called United Hands says the organization has selected St Lucia this year, as the beneficiary of services which will be provided by a team of top international medical professionals.

The physicians will hold free health screenings here focusing primarily on the detection of non communicable diseases.

The clinics are expected to begin next week in Anse La raye, Dennery, Vieux Fort and then back to the La Resource Primary School.

The doctors will also be engaged in delivering a public lecture at the Marisule Seventh Day Adventist Church next week
