The Major Crimes Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, is appealing for public assistance with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of 18-year-old, Cornelius Edwin.

At the time of the incident, Edwin who was originally from Ciceron, resided at Marchand

Police report that on Monday, November 3, 2014 about 2:00 a.m., Edwin was found unresponsive lying on a flight of stairs near the Mindoo Phillip Park, with an apparent injury to the head. He was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was admitted.

About 10:20 a.m., on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, Edwin succumbed to his injuries while admitted at the Intensive Care Unit of Victoria Hospital. A post mortem examination was conducted on his body on Friday, November 7th. The results indicate brain damage secondary to a gunshot wound to the head.

No one has been arrested in relation to this homicide.
