The Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport will open the newly constructed Bois d’ Orange Bridge to full flow of traffic as of this evening (Tuesday 09th December, 2014), following the official opening ceremony.

As such, the Ministry wishes to re-iterate that the Bois d’ Orange Bypass, which was used to divert traffic during the period of construction of the bridge, will no longer be in use  once the bridge is opened, and will be closed to any flow of normal traffic.

This means the return of the original flow of north bound and south bound traffic THROUGH the bridge. However, the Corinth Bypass Bridge near Computer World will continue to be in use to facilitate traffic flow though Riverstone through-to Corinth/Grand Reviere.

Traffic signs indicating NO ENTRY into the bypass for traffic flowing south bound and NO THROUGH ROAD from the Corinth end of the bypass will be clearly visible and should be adhered to at all times.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport thanks everyone including motorists, residents and business owners within the vicinity of the works for their patience and cooperation during the period of construction of the Bois d’ Orange Bridge.
