A former President of the St Lucia Civil Service Association says he is not surprised at the reaction of CSA members who have petitioned to have their President removed.

The move comes following Ms Mary Isaac’s acceptance of position as an opposition senator by the United Workers Party.

In describing the development as unprecedented in the CSA’s history, Mr Dosserie notes that it is the right of the members to take action against any move which they believes could present a threat to strong industrial relations representation.

Mr Dosserie notes that there is no need for concern about the future of the union after a decision on the petition is made.

He notes that a wealth of talent experience and vision exists within the union.

Meanwhile CSA President Mary Isaac declined comment on the matter except to say that she is not perturbed by the petition.
