The President of the St Lucia Craft and Dry Goods Vendors Association has taken issue with statements made by Newspaper Publisher and Talk show host Rick Wayne regarding an alleged spitting incident at Rodney Bay.

The incident which has been receiving widespread coverage involved a vendor and a restaurant owner who were engaged in a dispute that resulted in the vendor being spat on.

Mr Peter 'Ras' Ipa who has been among those leading the charge for the Vendor believes that suggestions made by Mr Wayne that he has sold out to the system have been made on the basis that the newspaper publisher had been profiting from the accused man.

Mr Isaac says he has had no personal benefit from the vendor’s incident and is surprised that individuals appear to have ulterior motives when speaking out against such indignities.

We will hear more from Mr Isaac later in the broadcast
